440 MHz UltraSPARC IIi Engine Simple Type: CPU Board

Themis' USP IIi-3v combines the new UltraSPARC IIi, Sun Microelectronics' most advanced 64-bit SPARC V.9 superscalar processor, with up to three PMC expansion slots in a high-speed VME64 architecture. With dual MII or 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports, dual Ultra Fast/Wide SCSI interfaces, and dual multiprotocol Serial ports the USPIIi-3v is ideal for high availability telecommunications and ruggedized COTS applications. This high-performance 6U platform combines 360/440 MHz RISC processing (440 MHz: 18.7 SPECint95/21.1 SPECfp95) with SunSoft Solaris compatibility, giving the user access to thousands of Solaris 2.x off-the-shelf software solutions. Memory is expandable using memory mezzanines cards, from 64 Mbytes to 1 Gbyte of 3.3V EDO DRAM. Both the value and performance of USPIIi-3v are complimented by a complete set of workstation I/O features. The USPIIi-3v includes a UPA64S Creator Graphics slot for high performance graphics processing.
