The SPARC 20MP has the highest level of SPARC multiprocessing technology available on the VMEbus at its time. The SPARC 20MP matches high performance hyperSPARC or SuperSPARC II processors with front and rear panel mounting options for up to 4 SBus cards. Based on licensed Sun Microsystems SPARCstation technology, the SPARC 20MP provides SPARCstation 20 to SPARCserver 1000-class performance with 100% binary compatibility. The SPARC 20MP offers an enhanced VME64 interface, a faster 50 MHz MBus architecture and VME driver compatibility with the entire range of SPARC processing technology. Themis combines the SPARC 20MP's innovative multiprocessor technology with memory expansion ranging from 64 to 512 Mbytes, Ethernet, SCSI 2-FAST, two serial ports, keyboard/mouse port, a parallel port, audio port (optional), and a high performance VME64 interface. Designed with demanding telecom and embedded application environments in mind, the SPARC 20MP includes rugged MBus mounting and a metal stiffener to eliminate baseboard flex.
